George Odell is originally from Portland, Maine. He grew up the son of a United Methodist minister so he has lived from the islands of Maine to the North country of Maine. He met his wife, Robbie, while he was stationed with the United States Army at Fort Huachuca, AZ and attending the United Methodist church in Sierra Vista, AZ. Together they have a son, Tyler, who is a recent graduate of Hendrix College in Conway, AR.
George has a Bachelor of Arts in History from Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, OH, and a Master of Divinity degree from Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX. He also has taken post graduate studies in Spiritual Direction and is certified as a Spiritual Director. George has served in ministry for 26 years here in Arkansas from the Delta to the Ozarks. He came to us after serving as lead pastor at First UMC, Clinton.
For fun, George like to be with his family, to visit all the sites that are available to those who live in this part of the state, photography, and spending time with the family pets.
